Last weekend this time I was getting ready for company. Who was it you might ask? Our first bluegrass inspiration!! Long before the bus and all that we met the LaClaires. I don't think we even HAD a banjo when they first laid eyes on us. They've definitely seen us 'grow up" and move through the ranks of progress.

Ellen documenting our visit...and Hannah and the Chicken (Allison).

The rain and clouds kept us guessing if we were to play inside or out Sunday afternoon. By the end of the concert there was blue sky, but we played it safe and went indoors. At 11:30ish it was still misty and raw outside. Not to mention cold! This is June? O_o
Right after our set we listened to The Mixed Nuts. :)

Great barbershop harmony!! I took video but I should get their permission before I post it. :)

The LaClaires.
A nice afternoon of music and of course fellowship before after. :)
Our bus is in need of repair right now so keep us in your prayers as we look to install something called a 'pumpkin.' It has nothing to do with pie, nor is it orange colored. :D
Have a wonderful Father's Day weekend!

We hope you all had a blessed Memorial Day! Spring has picked up here and it was a lovely day for the ceremonies in the cemetery which we participated in.
Dad had a nice birthday. We are so thankful again for him and his life. Thank you for all who have prayed for him and are continuing to pray for him and our ministry.
Since it's been getting warmer and things are GROWING all over the place we've been getting out and working in the yards and spending some down time over the cook fire...

Also, watching our young cherry tree produce fruit for the first time!! We just planted it this spring. :)

Next we have the new blossoms on the pea plants....

And our resident farmer, Vincent working on the corn patch.

He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment. Proverbs 12:11 niv
Till next time,
Carol

Thank you Mom, for all you've done for us. That phrase seems so short and not nearly enough words for the effort you've poured out on us. Giving your love, emotions, energy, body, and commitment has been a huge sacrifice. Countless hours have gone in for over the past 25 years. Thank you for going against the grain and being this cool mom who wasn't like all the others. We thank God for you for it is only in His strength you are who you are. You would always give the Lord credit and will continue to I'm sure.
I love you and I'm proud of you.
Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children. Proverbs 17:6 niv
